Physician Emeritus: Dr. Henry Shoenthal is now enjoying retirement traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.
Dr. Hillegass, who is local to the Bedford County area, earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Pittsburgh in Johnstown. He graduated from the American University of Antigua College with a Doctor of Medicine degree. He completed his family medicine internship and residency at UPMC Altoona. He is Board-Certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. He has been with the practice since July 2019. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, along with working on the family farm.

She enjoys spending her free time with her husband and son.
Bill Martyak has been working as a Physician Assistant in Bedford County since the year 2000. Bill is a graduate of Forest Hills High School and the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. He graduated from St. Francis University in 2000 with a degree in Physician Assistant Sciences. He is Board-Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. He is certified in Basic Life Support and is a certified Outdoor Emergency Care Provider through the National Ski Patrol. He works as a Ski Patroller at Hidden Valley Resort in Somerset County. He previously served as a medical officer in the Pennsylvania National Guard. He enjoys spending time outdoors, but most of all, enjoys spending quality time with his wife Joanna and their 4 children.
He currently using his expertise to help improve care offered at Nursing Homes in the state of Pennsylvania.
Joseph Pallo is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. He has been a registered nurse for 18 years. Joe recently graduated from Walden University with a Masters of Science in Nursing and He graduated from Windber Area High School in 1999. He is certified in basic life support. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Christina, and their 3 children.
Alaina Heeter is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner. She has seven years of critical care and nursing experience before joining our team. Alaina graduated in 2022 with her Masters of Science degree from Maryville University. She is a native to the surrounding New Paris area. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband, sons and family.
Allison grew up in Bedford County and graduated from Bedford High School in 2017. She attended Saint Francis University and graduated from the Physician Assistant program with her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Sciences in 2022. She joined the New Paris Rural Health Clinic team immediately following graduation. Allison is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Some of her hobbies include weight-lifting, basketball, and traveling. She also has a healthy coffee obsession and loves spending time with family and friends.
Christine Brocious is a board certified registered nurse practitioner with 6 years of primary care experience. She graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2010. Christine was critical care nurse for 6 years before earning her Masters of Science degree from Carlow University. Christine is certified in basic life support, advanced life support and pediatric advanced life support. In her free time, she enjoys spending time and traveling with her husband and their two daughters.
Randy Lasut is a board certified Nurse Practitioner. He was previously an RN for almost 14 years with experience in orthopedics, trauma, GI, urology, critical care, and anesthesia care nursing. Randy is BLS and ACLS certified. Randy has lived in Windber all of his life and graduated from Windber High School in 2005. He completed his Masters of Science in nursing degree with focus in Family Practice from Chamberlain University in 2023. He's had many hobbies and titles through the years from amateur race car driver, duck call maker, and even tattoo artist. He is often found outdoors fishing, hunting, or wondering around for fun with his family and friends. But most of all he enjoys spending his free time with his wife and daughters.
Emily is a Bedford County native, she graduated from Chestnut Ridge High School in 2015. She attended Saint Francis University and graduated from the Physician Assistant program with her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Sciences in 2021. Emily is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and certified in BLS. Upon graduation she supervised cardiac stress testing before joining the team at New Paris Rural Health Clinic. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband, sons and family.
Brittany is a board certified Nurse Practitioner. She has seven years of nursing experience that ranges from pediatrics, medical surgical, and surgical trauma intensive care. She graduated from Mount Aloysius in 2015 with her nursing degree and then went on to Duquesne University graduating in 2021 with her Nurse Practitioner Degree. She is certified in BLS. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
